Thirkill Elementary has received the prestigious and coveted Merit School Award from the Idaho State Department of Education for many years in a row.

          Schools receiving this award must excel in all areas specified by the department of education.  Thirkill Elementary is one of only a few elementary schools statewide that has qualified repeatedly for this award since its inception in 1998.

          We are proud of our staff and students for making the extra effort to be chosen for this award.
