Due to the resignation of Trustee Mike Veile, from Zone 4, on the evening of October 22,
2025, the Board of Trustees of Soda Springs School District declared a vacancy for Zone
4 on October 22, 2025 and is commencing the process to fill this vacancy.
Zone 4 encompasses:
BEGINNING at the intersection of US Hwy 30 Scenic and the South District Boundary, thence
Northwesterly along said US Hwy 30 Scenic to 3rd Street East, thence
South along said 3rd Street East to 3rd Street South, thence
West along said 3rd Street South to 1st Street East, thence
North along said 1st Street East to 2nd Street South (US Hwy 30 Scenic), thence
East along said 2nd Street South to 2nd Street East, thence North along said 2nd Street East to Ashland Drive, thence East along said Ashland Drive to 3rd Street East, thence
South along said 3rd Street East to State Hwy 34 Scenic (Hooper Avenue), thence
East, then North, then Northeast along said State Hwy 34 Scenic to Trail Canyon Road, thence
East along said Trail Canyon Road approximately 2 miles to an unnamed road departing to the
Southeast, thence
Southeast along said unnamed road to Wood Canyon Road, thence Easterly along said Wood Canyon Road to Trail Road, thence Northeasterly along said Trail Road to Slug Creek Road, thence Northerly along said Slug Creek Road to Blackfoot River Road, thence
Northeast, then North, then East along said Blackfoot River Road to Diamond Creek Road, thence
Southeasterly along said Diamond Creek Road turning into Caribou National Forest Road 102 to said South District Boundary, thence
West and South along said South District Boundary to said US Hwy 30 Scenic and the POINT OF BEGINNING.
- The individual selected to fill this term will serve the balance of the unexpired term, currently
ending on December 31, 2025.
- The Board of Trustees has a period of 90 days from the declaration of the vacancy to fill this
position with a qualified individual who resides within Zone 4. If this does not occur, the
Board may appoint a person at-large from within the boundaries of the school district.
Otherwise, after 120 days, the appointment shall be made by the board of the county
commissioners.
